Behind the Magic: How I Created the Siren-Inspired Beauty Brand Commercial

The name Siren Song came to me effortlessly — during a quiet moment in my skincare routine. I began thinking about the beauty of the sea, the richness of marine elements like algae, and the power of transformation.

Algae felt like the perfect core ingredient: pure, natural, and deeply connected to the depths of the ocean. From there, the image of a siren emerged — mystical, hypnotic, and timelessly beautiful. The idea was simple:
What if a product could make you feel as magnetic as a siren’s song?

That blend of nature, mythology, and allure became the foundation of this brand.
Siren Song isn’t just a name — it’s a feeling.

Step 2: The Color Palette – Depth, Elegance, and Ocean Influence

The color selection was rooted in nature — I started by extracting the tone of real marine algae. But I didn’t stop there. I deepened the shade, blending it into a cooler, oceanic blue — a hue inspired by the depths of the sea.

This subtle shift added elegance, mystery, and a sense of serenity to the brand. It wasn’t just about color — it was about creating an emotion.

Step 3: Logo Design – Minimalism Meets Mythology

To bring the visual identity to life, I turned to AI for support — specifically, ChatGPT. I wanted a logo that felt as fluid and magical as the concept itself.

Here’s the exact prompt I used to generate the logo idea:

“A mermaid tail upside down, fins extended, with a blend of algae flowing to the side — a minimalist logo made of clean lines.”

The result? A graceful, line-based design that captures the elegance of the siren, the movement of the sea, and the natural essence of the product.
It’s simple, yet memorable — just like the melody of a siren.

Step 4: Storyboarding with Freepik – Visualizing the Magic

Next, I used Freepik to create a custom sequence of images that brought my vision to life — a conceptual commercial that I had clearly pictured in my mind.

I wanted to represent the siren and the substance as one entity, merging their essence to highlight the brand’s magic. The imagery moves from the depths of the ocean to the surface — a visual metaphor for transformation and elevation.

This journey reflects the product’s power: rising from the deep to reveal a new, luminous version of yourself.

Step 5: Image Refinement – Preparing for Animation

Before animating, I needed to clean up and refine some of the visuals. The product generated by AI was too large for the composition I had in mind, so I adjusted the proportions to make it feel more realistic and harmonious within the scene.

I also added highlights and glow to enhance the magical feel of the product, and removed certain elements to ensure narrative clarity. For example, I created:

  • One scene without the stone,

  • One without the product, and

  • Another with the product resting on the stone.

These small but important tweaks were done using Photoshop’s AI tools and Generative Fill, to make sure that when I passed everything into Pika, it had exactly what it needed to animate each shot seamlessly — from beginning to end.
